There are those that like the UI look to Mac OS X Lion and perhaps your one of those people, but you don’t care to take the dive and actually purchase a Mac, well you can still enjoy the UI look of Mountain Lion using the Mountain Lion Skin Pack for Windows 7/8.

Perhaps one of the issues you have with Windows 8 Consumer Preview is the fact that all menus are now replaced with Ribbons in Windows 8 CP and you might not like that, perhaps you wish there was a way to get rid of them, and you’ll be pleased to know that you can do just that with the program Ribbon Disabler for Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

If you have taken a look at the new version of Windows, Windows 8 you might notice when you go into the Desktop mode, that there is no Start button that you have been a custom to since Windows 3.1, but you can return your Windows Start button back to where you think it belongs in Windows 8 with the program Start8.

If your now trying out the new Windows 8 desktop, which is now the Metro Interface by default, one of the items you might be missing is the good old My Computer icon link, which you used to fire up to gain access to your various system drives, well you can return My Computer to your Metro Interface by check out this article with the details, HERE.

From what has been released out of Microsoft blogs and other venues, we now know that there will be a release of a Windows 8 Consumer Beta at the end of this month, which will allow IT professionals and others to take a look at what Windows 8 will have to offer come probably the end of the summer, or at the very least by Christmas. Many of users are waiting to see how the Metro UI will work, and how it has been changed since the release of the Developers build of Windows 8 which got a fair amount of negative feedback based on the fact that the Metro UI was at the time better suited for a touch screen device as opposed to the traditional Keyboard/Mouse input combination which most PC users use today. Make sure to keep an eye out for the build if you to want to get a sneak peak at what Windows 8 has to offer.
